For the First Time, 102 Year Old Dancer Finally Gets To See Herself As A Young Girl Doing What She Loved Most

It isn’t often that we consider what it was like in a time without easy access to technology. For Alice Baker, today’s ease of technology afforded her the most fabulous surprise. As a dancer in the 30’s and 40’s Harlem Renaissance, Alice danced next to the top people in the entertainment industry of her time like Frank Sinatra and Gene Kelly. Now, at 102 years old, she was able to view the films of herself dancing for the very first time. David Shuff, a friend that Alice made in her retirement home, went out on a hunting expedition to find these very old films of Alice dancing. He surprised her and her reaction? “Fabulous, just fabulous”.
