A League Of Their Own has been dubbed one of the greatest sports movies of all time––certainly up there with the likes of Rocky, Raging Bull, and my personal bias Remember the Titans. That being said, the true story that inspired the film hides another equally, embarking story. This story is about a romantic relationship between two women that remained hidden for over six decades––and this story will be the main focal point of Netflix’s new documentary A Secret Love to premiere on the platform on the 29th of April.
Directed by Billions‘ and Six Women‘s very own Chris Bolan alongside Jason Blum as executive producer. The documentary will be produced by none other than one of the most decorated and celebrated people in the film industry, Ryan Murphy. A Secret Love will be spearheading the lives and the relationship of Terry Donahue and Pat Henschel that has been hidden for over 60 years not just from their friends, but even their loved ones until very recently.
If you haven’t watched the trailer, I’d just like to advise you to get a tissue roll and try not to cry. Remember, Tom Hanks once said that there is no crying in baseball.
