‘Absentia’ is an original production by Sony Pictures Television and Amazon Prime Video. It was created by Matthew Cirulnick and Gaia Violo in 2017 and premiered two seasons.
Now, Amazon Prime Video has released the official trailer for its third season, and the television and streaming platform’s release date has been confirmed.
The third season of ‘Absentia’ will take place three months after the events of the second season. We will see Emily again trying to be the best possible mother to her son, as her suspension from the FBI comes to an end. However, one case of her ex-husband will be very close to her family and will put her in danger, trying to overcome a test as she has never had before.
When Emily and her ex-husband, Special Agent Nick Durand (Patrick Heusinger), decide to intervene, it becomes a race against time, in which she realizes that a vast conspiracy is brewing. Emily then heads on a dangerous journey that will take her far from Boston and force her to learn to trust, to love again, and to realize her true place in the world.
This third season of ‘Absentia’ will again feature Stana Katic as Emily Byrne. Patrick Heusinger and Neil Jackson will also be part of the main cast. Geoff Bell (The Level) and Josette Simon (Broadchurch) will join the cast.
The series will be available on Amazon Prime Video starting Monday, July 13, at 11:55 pm.
