Prime Video premieres the trailer for ‘7500’, a suspenseful film by Joseph Gordon-Levitt

It’s been several years since we’ve seen Joseph Gordon-Levitt in a leading role. The actor from ‘500 Days of Summer’ and ‘Origin’ has been planning his return in style. Now, the actor will star in ‘7500’, a harrowing thriller in which a terrorist group hijacks a commercial airliner. On June 19 at Amazon Prime Video, the film will premiere, joining other well-known Hollywood actors who are opting for starring roles in productions released directly on streaming platforms.

On the other hand, the trailer of ‘7500’ is already available and will not leave anyone indifferent. In a minute and a half, it perfectly conveys the essence of the film, the anguish of a co-pilot who fights so that the terrorists do not enter the cockpit and achieve their mission. Patrick Vollrath makes his film debut with this feature, an original story whose script was co-written with Senad Halilbasic. Jonas Katzenstein and Maximilian Leo did the production work through Augenschein Filmproduktion, a German co-production with Amazon.

The story centers on Tobias, a young American co-pilot who finds himself doing his usual Berlin-Paris route on what seems like an ordinary day. However, after take-off a group of terrorists armed with knives terrorize the crew and try to enter the cabin to hijack the plane, managing to hurt the pilot. There is when Tobias takes over and tries to contact control so that he can arrange an emergency landing while trying to keep the terrorists out of the cockpit. Everything gets complicated when they kill a person on board and threaten to do it again if they are not allowed to enter. The co-pilot will have to make a vital decision. ‘7500’ is the code that indicates an active hijacking on a flight, so the title of the film already warns us what we’re about to see.

The cast that accompanies Joseph Gordon-Levitt in this claustrophobic thriller will include Max Schimmelpfennig, Aurélie Thépaut, Christian Skibinski, Denis Schmidt, and Nino Porzio, among others.

After the film’s premiere on June 19, we will be able to see Gordon-Levitt in other similar projects, because it seems that the actor has caught the taste of thrillers since he will participate in “Project Power” a science fiction film for Netflix and in Paramount Pictures’ crime drama “The Trial of the Chicago 7 “, both of which are scheduled to be released this year.
