Amazon Prime Video announced that its next documentary series will be filmed in Spanish and will revolve around the world of soccer. It is a docu-series called Living Abroad. The series will have four episodes in which we will see exclusive access to the private lives of four professional soccer players such as Juan Mata (Manchester United). Juan Mata was part of the “Golden Generation” of the Spanish team that won the World Cup in 2010.
Living Abroad will be premiering in the UK and Spain on June 5th. The rest of the world will be able to enjoy it shortly afterwards.
The documentary series will follow the achievements of four Spanish footballers in their national team and other very competitive teams. The players who star in the docu-series will be Xavi Hernández, David Villa, Javi Martínez and Juan Mata. The players are now facing a new stage in their careers after winning a World Cup in South Africa.
The four players and their families will face what it is like to live outside their country and continue their careers in unexplored territories. In the path, they will cross with a reality that will make them miss unexpected things about Spain.
The documentary series will have four episodes of 35 minutes each where we will have enough space to take a look at the intimacy of the personal and family life of players that we usually only see as football superstars.
