Legendary duo Ant and Dec are branching out to streaming services such as Netflix for production

The legendary tandem that is Ant and Dec have struck our ears––mainly because of their catchy one-syllabled names––for many years during their peak hosting days. From hosting shows after shows, the duo will be trying their luck on streaming services like Netflix, according to reports.

At 44 (still young, these men), they’re seeking out new opportunities outside of TV. The Sun reported that the I’m A Celebrity and Britain’s Got Talent hosts want to get into the world of production, despite being in a presenting deal with ITV.

Ant and Dec have dominated our screens for years but now they’d like to have a shot working with the streaming giants – including Netflix.

They’re tied up in a mega-money deal with ITV so won’t be appearing on screen but want their production company to push into the market.

There are endless opportunities for their old formats which could end up being put onto streaming platforms.

However, they will still be returning for a new series of I’m A Celebrity on ITV and will be set to take place in Wales this year due to the coronavirus pandemic. Originally, the series is always filmed in Australia.

Planning the jungle – as with most other shows – has been very difficult as producers navigate a dynamic and fast-changing situation,” an insider told The Sun.

As for the updates regarding the duo, it was recently announced that they would be returning to BBC for the first time in a very long time. They will be featured in My Life As A Mixtape, a BBC Radio 2 show special. In the show, the celebrities are asked to choose tracks that have played a role in their lives.

There are also some speculations on Ant and Dec reuniting with Cat for a one-off special to celebrate 30 years in the showbiz industry.
