‘Carmen Sandiego’ Season 3: Where’s Sandiego going this time? Release date & more

It feels like only yesterday Carmen Sandiego released its first season and now, the third season is just a couple of blocks away. The newest season of the hit kids series will be premiering on the 1st of October, 2020. Here’s everything you need to know, so far, about the upcoming season!

However, if you’re not familiar with the series at all, then let’s take this chance to let you in on what you need to know. The series is based on the franchise that was created originally by Broderbund about a female Robin Hood during the current times. Here, her goal is to travel all around the world to solve crimes and, well, much like that of Robin Hood, return stolen items.

In January 2019, the first season of the series premiered on the streaming giant while the second installment followed nine months later, October 2019.

Six months later, in April 2020, the third season was finally announced to come to the streamer––the question, then, was when?

The series even had an interactive special for Netflix on the 10th of March, 2020, entitled Carmen Sandiego: To Steal or Not to Steal.

As for the third season, despite not many specifics coming out of the producers, they teased that the show will be visiting different locations around the world including Lagos in Nigeria, Seoul in South Korea, Venice in Italy, San Jose in Costa Rica, or Atlanta in the United States.

The show took it to their official @CarmenSandiego account to announce that the third season will be coming to Netflix globally on the 1st of October, 2020. It’s said to be dropping at 12:00 am PST, make sure you know how that’s translated to your timezone so you can catch it first on the streaming giant.

We’re glad that Carmen Sandiego has been renewed for a new season considering that it’s really one of the first kids series to have an interactive feature. This goes to show where Netflix is really headed, and how they plan to satisfy audiences of all ages.
