Disney+ is adding to its library the whole Marvel Cinematic Universe. Still, some movies will have to wait a while as Disney has streaming agreements with other services. For example, Thor: Ragnarok was already announced to premiere on the streamer in December and others, such as ‘Avengers: Endgame’ are already available on the platform.
Now, we know three more MCU films will be heading to Disney+ by mid-2020.
Black Panther is streaming on Netflix. The movie hit records, overcoming the solo films of Iron Man, Spider-Man and Captain America. That’s why there’s a sequel tabbed for 2022. It’ll be available on Disney+ from March 4.
As we said, Endgame is already available on Disney+ but that’s not the case with ‘Avengers: Infinity War.’ The first major Marvel crossover will premiere on the streaming service on June 25, according to Disney+’s movies list.
Another film that’s already on Disney+ is the Ant-Man original film. Its sequel, ‘Ant-Man and The Wasp’ gave Hope Van Dyne a chance to team up with Ant-Man. The movie is available on Netflix so far but will join Disney+ on July 29, 2020, more than two years after the show premiered on July 6, 2018.
Although Ant-Man is widely seen as a secondary character in the MCU, the movie fills up a significant gap between Infinity War and Endgame, as Scott Lang was in the Quantum Realm when Thanos unleashed an apocalyptic event that wiped out half of the universe. The fact that he escaped it gave the Avengers a way to reverse the event.
Let’s hope all of the MCU goes home to Disney+ sooner than later.
