Disney+ might be working on a Star Wars live-action series about Ahsoka Tano

Disney+ has the goose that lays the golden eggs under its wing: the Star Wars franchise, a complex universe with almost infinite stories that has become a fundamental part of our pop culture. Disney knows this, and that is why it is betting so strongly on repeating the formula that was so successful with The Mandalorian to other stories from the Star Wars universe.

This time, according to Fandom Wire, there is a strong rumor that Disney+ is preparing a live-action series about Ahsoka Tano. The report points out that the new series will be developed right after what happened in Star Wars Rebels when Ahsoka decides to look for Padawan Ezra Bridger.

Ahsoka Tano is Anakin Skywalker’s Padawan, first seen in the Star Wars animated film, Clone Wars. Since then, Ahsoka has appeared in other projects such as the Clone Wars animated series and Star Wars Rebels. Rumor also has it that Ahsoka will be played by Rosario Dawson. However, the actress has not said anything about it.

There’s little to none details about this new series. Still, it will certainly be interesting to see how this new show will fit into this new phase of the Star Wars movie universe that Disney+ started producing with The Mandalorian.

A crossover between the different stories from Star Wars Rebels or Clone Wars and The Mandalorian is not a crazy idea. It is now official that Bo-Katan will appear in the second season of The Mandalorian.
