Every Adam Sandler Movie on Netflix in 2020

If you browse the Netflix catalog, you might feel like there is a lot of Adam Sandler content on there. And you would be right.

Adam Sandler and Netflix actually signed a six-movie deal back in 2014, which is why you will see so many Sandler Netflix Originals in the library. And you can prepare yourself for even more. At the start of 2020, Netflix extended the deal to another four movies. Why? Apparently, Netflix viewers have spent 2 billion hours watching his movies on the streaming service.

Sandler has also landed roles in a number of other Netflix productions, including the recent popular release Uncut Gems.

If you are an Adam Sandler fan, this is all good news. If you want to watch all the Adam Sandler content currently available on Netflix, both his Netflix Original collaborations and his back-catalog content, here is a list of what is available.

Adam Sandler 100% Fresh (2018)

Start your exploration of Netflix’s Adam Sandler content with some of his stand-up material. He has made such a big name for himself as an actor, it can be easy to forget his stand-up roots.

Sandler’s stand-up is more whimsical and less outright dirty than a lot of the material out there these days. This makes it both funny and refreshing.

The Do-Over (2016)

One of the films produced through the Sandler-Netflix deal, in this buddy comedy Sandler teams up with David Spade.

The pair of friends decide to fake their own deaths in order to start over. But they soon discover that the identities that they stole to start their new lives were tied up in some serious criminal activity. Now, they are targets.

Hubie Halloween (2020)

In this Netflix Original created just for Halloween, Sandler stars alongside regular collaborator Kevin James, as well as Julie Bowen, Ray Liotta, and Steve Buscemi.

This is a lot like your classic Christmas movie in which someone is expected to save the holiday. Except that Sandler, as Hubie, is a resident of Salem, and he is out to save Halloween.

I Now Pronounce You Chuck and Larry (2007)

Adam Sandler teams up with favorite co-star Kevin James again as a pair of firemen that pose as a gay couple in order to get healthcare for one of their children.

What they think is a simple matter of paperwork becomes complicated when a caseworker decides to verify their story. There is also the small problem that one of them is in love with the lawyer who is trying to help them pull off the entire scam.

Little Nicky (2000)

Taking on one of the classic stories, Adam Sandler stars as Nicky Schear, one of the three sons of Satan, who quite likes living on Earth.

He finally needs to do something about that when his brothers try to usurp his father and take over the Earth. This black sheep of the family must save his father, and the entire world.

The Meyerowitz Stories (2017)

Director Noah Baumbach puts both Adam Sandler and Ben Stiller in serious roles to show exactly how talented and versatile they are.

That is not to say that the film isn’t funny, just in a less in your face kind of way. The story follows a group of adult siblings dealing with their dysfunctional childhood and desperately trying to escape the long shadow of their father, played by Duston Hoffman.

Mr Deeds (2002)

Sandler stars opposite Winona Ryder in this romantic comedy. It is directed by Steve Brill, who is the director behind many Sandler films.

When a billionaire dies, he leaves his money to Longfellow Deeds, a small-town guy without a lot of experience but a big heart. He decides to make a lot of changes to the big business that he inherits, despite the scheming CEO trying to stop him.

Murder Mystery (2020)

This was one of the biggest Netflix Original releases of 2020. It stars both Adam Sandler and Jennifer Aniston, which says a lot about what to expect from this comedy.

They play a couple on holidays who are invited to spend time on a billionaire’s boat. When someone dies, they are the first accused, and it begins to seem like that is why they were invited in the first place. They must solve the mystery to clear their names.

The Ridiculous 6 (2015)

This was the first movie produced through the partnership between Netflix and Sandler, and it is fair to say that it did not get good reviews.

The movie is meant to be a comedic take on the Magnificent 7, but it is more offensive than funny. Sandler plays a white orphan brought up by native Americans. But he discovers that he has a group of outlaw half-brothers. He joins them on an adventure to save his father.

Sandy Wexler (2017)

This movie sees Sandler collaborating with Steven Brill behind the camera and Kevin James in front of the camera again. It also features that fabulous Jennifer Hudson.

Sandler plays a talent agent for eccentric talents trying to make it in Hollywood. Despite their quirks, he is devoted to his clients. But things start to change when he falls for a talented singer (Hudson) at an amusement park.

Uncut Gems (2020)

Sandler delivers one of his best performances ever in this other big 2020 Netflix release.

He plays a New York gems dealer, who is also a gambler, so he is in crippling debt. Not wanting his wife or his mistress to know, he is willing to take drastic steps to turn his fortunes around. He soon discovers some rare uncut Ethiopian gems, and a willing buyer, but can he live with the consequences of what this deal might mean?

The Week Of (2018)

Adam Sandler and Chris Rock star in this film set around the classic premise of a couple in love bringing together two families that have nothing in common.

Sandler and Rock play the fathers of the couple in the lead up to their wedding day. In the week before the wedding, they both can’t wait for what promises to be a disastrous event to be over so that they can go back to not seeing each other.

You Don’t Mess with the Zohan (2007)

Sandler stars as an Israeli Special Forces soldier, Zohan, who fakes his own death and travels to America to pursue his dream of being a hairstylist. But he needs to use his skills more than once to make it in America, revealing his true identity.

This movie feels a little bit like a comedic version of The Bourne Identity.
