The films of the new ‘Star Wars’ trilogy didn’t go so well for the mouse company. However, the story with the series based on this universe is way different since ‘The Mandalorian’ and ‘Clone Wars’ have become the strong points of the Disney+ streaming platform, so the studio is already preparing a series of ‘Solo: A Star Wars Story.’
Although Han Solo’s solo movie did not meet the studio’s expectations since it received a lot of negative reviews and its box office was not as expected, hundreds of fans were waiting for Disney to give it a new chance, so they launched the campaign #MakeSolo2Happen, and it seems that their efforts paid off.
This campaign is described by its creators as, “a positive movement of fans who share their love for Solo and show their support for continuing the adventures of Han Solo, Chewbacca and the other characters in the film in a follow-up movie or series at Disney+,” this movement has been recognized by, Ron Howard, the writer Jon Kasdan and even Ray Park, so Disney listened to their requests.
So, according to sources on the FandomWire site, Disney is working on a new series of ‘Solo: A Star Wars Story, which will revolve around the characters of Qi’ra and Darth Maul, since one of the things that can be rescued from the film was the appearance of the villain in the final scenes of the film, so the studio would take up its story again.
“We have been informed that a Disney + series is in active development and will focus on Qi’ra and Darth Maul,” wrote FandomWire. Maul is one of the fans’ favorite villains, we have no doubt that Disney would like to feature him in a new story. The best part is that this time he would face Han Solo, who is not happy after Qi’ra betrayed him.
If the rumor is true, Disney+ would already be working on a new series of ‘Solo: A Star Wars Story,’ which will join those of ‘Cassian Andor’ and ‘Obi-Wan.’ However, we still have to wait for confirmation from the studio. Until that happens, it will only remain a rumor.
