HBO Max releases the first trailer for their new comedy series ‘Frayed’

It’s good to see how none of the major streaming platforms at the moment are neglecting their catalog of comedy series. This time we will talk about HBO Max and their new comedy series ‘Frayed.’

The trailer for this new HBO Max comedy is just released, and you can watch it here:

The star of this new British and Australian HBO Max production is Simone Burbeck, who will be played by Sarah Kendall. In addition to acting in the series, Kendall is also the creator of the series and executive producer.

The plot of ‘Frayed’ takes place in 1988 and tells the story of Simone, a woman who lives in a London mansion and enjoys a seemingly perfect life where she is accompanied by her husband and two teenage children, who are Lenny (Frazer Hadfield) and Tess (Maggie Ireland-Jones).

Simone’s life changes dramatically when her husband dies of a heart attack (which happens while he is cheating on her with a sex worker). From that moment on, Simone’s perfect life slowly falls apart because she learns that all her luxuries were at the expense of her husband’s crazy accumulation of debts. The protagonist is forced to return to her hometown in Newcastle, Australia, as a working-class woman.

Simone’s return to Australia slowly reveals that our protagonist’s past is not as glamorous as she made it out to be.

The comedy will premiere on HBO’s streaming platform on July 30th, so the wait won’t be long to enjoy this new series.
