This would be the second trailer for the new HBO Max series directed by Jordan Peele and produced by JJ Abrams.
Renowned director Jordan Peele (‘Get out’ and ‘Us’) has managed to carve out a niche for himself in the imagination of viewers thanks to his racially charged films and his particular style of giving us goosebumps with his stories. That’s why HBO entrusted Peele with the direction of the adaptation of Matt Ruff’s book ‘Lovecraft Country’ to the series format for HBO Max.
The series produced by JJ Abrams is firmly committed to the horror genre to bring Lovecraft’s creatures to life through a fresh and engaging story. After a first trailer just a few weeks ago, HBO has decided to give us another preview of what we can expect from ‘Lovecraft Country.’
In this second trailer provided by HBO, we get to appreciate again how the actor Jonathan Majors (‘When we rise’) and the actress Wunmi Mosaku (‘The End of the f***ing world’) star in this story set in the America of the 50’s where the fantastic creatures will coexist with terror and social criticism.
We will live the story through an African-American family that we will see being attacked not only by Lovecraft’s monsters but also by other human beings.
After several years of anticipation since the announcement of HBO in 2017, all indications are that the series will reach viewers during the summer of this year with the official publication of a premiere date by HBO.
When ‘Lovecraft Country’ premieres, we’ll have ten hour-long episodes
that will bring Jordan Peele’s new series to life.
