HBO Max to add ‘White House Farm’ to its content library

HBO Max continues to fill its content library. On Friday, it was confirmed that the WarnerMedia-owned streamer struck a deal for the US rights of the British crime drama ‘White House Farm.’

Stephen Graham, who we saw recently on ‘The Irishman’ stars in six-part series alongside Freddie Fox. The show will air on the streaming service from next year.

The streaming platform had already acquired a handful of British titles such as Doctor Who, The Office (the Ricky Gervais original show, Luther, Top Gear, Trigonometry, The Honorable Woman, Pure, Home, Ghosts, among many others.

The show follows Graham as DCI Taff Jones and Fox as Jeremy Bamber. The show is produced by New Pictures, who recently produced Catherine The Great for HBO.

The cast is completed with Mark Addy, Gemma Whelan, Mark Stanley, Alexa Davies, Cressida Bonas, Alfie Allen, Amanda Burton, and Nicholas Farrell also star.

‘White House Farm’ is a factual series that will explore the case based on interviews and research that were published by Carol Ann Lee in ‘The Murders at White House Farm and ‘in Search of Rainbow’s End’ by Colin Caffell, the wife of Sheila, one of the victims and, initially, presumed perpetrator.

The Essex Police first believe that Sheila killed her family and then killed herself, but things quickly changed after the murder-suicide theory received some doubts and I won’t tell you anything else so you can find it out by yourself.

The show was written by Kris Mrksa and Giula Sandler. All six episodes were directed by Paul Whittington.
