Biography and Early Life:
Julia Michaels, born on the 13th of November, 1993, in Davenport, Iowa, is a one-of-a-kind and generational young talent of today. At a young age of 12, she started singing and playing instruments like the guitar and the piano. Two years later, she wrote her first song titled “Austin & Ally” at the age of 14. Not long after did she write songs alongside Lindy Robbins titled “Fire Starter” and “Miss Movin’ On.”
Her musical capabilities became so apparent, and was later revealed that her inspirations in music are Lisa Mitchell, Laura Marling, Juliet Simms, The Fray, and Fiona Apple.
Professional Career:
In 2010, she released her self-titled EP and was later followed by “Futuristic” in 2012 and “Nervous System” in 2017. Her single, “Issues,” ranked 23rd on the BIllboard Hot 100 chart alongside its Top 10 placings in countries like Australia, Denmark, Norway, and the United Kingdom.
As far as a featured artist goes, Michaels has already collaborated alongside Kyogo and Cash Cash with “Carry Me” and “Surrender,” respectively.
