Netflix has been killing it when it comes to their K-drama collection. With the rise of Itaewon Class, they only cemented their collection even more––and when people see great dramas on the platform, they’re going to want more.
As Kim Sung-Yoon spearheads the direction for the show and Gwang Jin helming the writing department, there’s really no room for error here. The first season premiered at an early date of the 31st of January 2020 and run until the 21st of Match 2020. Now, as the audiences have seen the finale––garnering its popularity over the weeks and months that have passed––fans are waiting for the second installment of the series.
As the first season drowns in its success, we can expect a hopeful green light for the second season from Netflix soon. As of now, though, the renewal status of the show is still in the hands of the streaming giant as well as the production house. However, Netflix loves to see their audiences take their love to social media. The more tweets or posts they see, the more likely they’ll be renewing a series––and Itaewon Class‘s fanbase has been strong over the months.
If the series does get renewed, the cast will still be including: Park Seo-Joon as Park Sae-ro-Yi, Kim Da-mi as Jo Yi-seo, Yoo Jae-Myung as Jang Dae-hee, Kwon Nara as Oh Soo-ah, Kim Dong-hee as Jang Geun-soo, Ryu Kyung-soo as Choi Seung-Kwon, Kim Yeo-jin as Jo Jeong-min, and others.
There’s a lot that could happen in the second season, but fans would really appreciate a relationship between Oh Soo Ah and Park Bo Gum. For now, we’ll just have to wait for the news and how the production house and the streaming giant will work around the pandemic to bring what the audiences want. Stay tuned!
