Leslie Jones: Time Machine: Netflix release date and trailer

Netflix is, by far, the streaming service with the best stand-up comedy roster. And the streamer updates it non-stop.

Now, we have the premiere date for Leslie Jones’ first special for the streamer. She took Twitter to thank its directors who were nobody else than David Benioff and D.B. Weiss. Yes, Game of Thrones’ showrunners. Here’s the tweet:

Leslie Jones: Time Machine is coming to the streaming service on January 14. Jones is a former Saturday Night Live cast member. Her work in SNL has helped her launch a successful career in comedy acting and standup comedy.

Here’s Netflix’s synopsis for the special, “Here’s the logline for Time Machine: Leslie Jones is all about having fun. Through the years that fun has encompassed wild times, crazy experiences, celebrity encounters and a few awkward mishaps. Now older, and enlightened, the comedian imparts her hilarious wisdom on all ages. Strap in, because you’re headed on a wild, side-splitting ride from young adulthood to the present with Leslie Jones.”

As you may know, Weiss and Benioff signed a mammoth overall deal with Netflix back in August. However, the stand up special does not fall into it, as they had already been tabbed to helm the special before the deal was struck.

Anyway, mark the date: January 14. Enjoy Leslie Jones: Time Machine’s teaser trailer right here:
