Since there’s a lot of hype surround the latest teasers for Netflix’s Lucifer, we’ll jump on the bandwagon and try to examine what’s going to happen for the much-awaited season.
The fifth season comes with a spicy twist––and if you’ve watched the trailer, you know what I’m talking about. The question isn’t where Lucifer is, but how will the relationship of Lucifer (played by Tom Ellis) and Chloe Decker (played by Laura German) going to pan out?
The latest news comes from those of TVLine who provided a sneak peek into a key poster of both characters––and Chloe seems to have finally crossed the fence of hate and love. In the trailer, we see how Chloe Decker missed Lucifer (and so did we, Chloe) so much so that it seems too haste––very opposite from the first season.
SPOILER ALERT! Last season, we saw Lucifer bid farewell to earth and especially to Chloe to keep peace in Hell––keeping demons to where they belong in the underworld. However, Lucifer, in the trailer, came back a little bit sooner than expected.
When asked about how the Deckerstar will develop throughout the season, co-showrunner Joe Henderson said: “Wait, who says Lucifer’s coming back?” That’s enough to keep us on the edge of our seats.
“We can’t say much, but know that Ildy and I are Deckerstar fans ourselves, so we asked ourselves… what do we want to see happen between Lucifer and Chloe? What haven’t we explored or explained yet? And we’ve tried to get all of that in Season 5,” Henderson continued.
On the 21st of August, the first half of Lucifer‘s fifth season will be released on the streaming giant. “In the stunning fifth season, the stakes are higher than ever,” reads the official teaser. “Secrets will be revealed, beloved characters will die, and we’ll finally get an answer to the question, ‘Will they or won’t they?’”
