Some time ago, Marvel announced a new couple of series to stream in Hulu after the cancellation of their Netflix shows. The comic giant was set to produce a ‘Ghost Rider’ and a ‘Helstrom’ series for the streamer owned by Marvel’s parent company, Disney.
But a few months after that, we knew Disney decided to cancel its Ghost Rider series before starting to film it and there were reports that Helstorm would have the same fate. Thankfully, that wasn’t the case.
Now, more news about ‘Marvel’s Helstrom was revealed. David Meunier will play a recurring role in Helstrom.
The show will follow Daimon and Ana Helstrom, portrayed by Tom Austen (The Royals, Grandchester), and Sydney Lemmon (Succession, Fear the Walking Dead), the son and daughter of a demonic serial killer. They have a quite complex dynamic between themselves as they hunt down the worst of the worst of mankind each using their best skills.
David Meunier will portray Finn Miller, a member of a secret organization that does some gutwrenching work.
He’s best known for his role as Johnny Crowder on FX’s Justified. He’s recently had recurring roles on ‘The Blacklist’ and ‘Mom’.
The cast is completed by Elizabeth Marvel as Victoria, the Helstrom siblings’ mother, Robert Wisdom as Caretaker, June Carryl as Louise Hastings, Ariana Guerra as Gabriella Rossetti, and Alain Uy as Chris Yen.
The showrunner of the series will be Paul Zbyszewski who executive produces alongside Jeph Loeb. Season 1 will have 10 episodes. There’s no word yet of an exact release date, but Hulu is aiming for the second semester of 2020.
