David Chang received widespread acclaim in 2018 for his first Netflix original show, ‘Ugly Delicious.’ The network knew they had a gold mine in their hands for foodies, so now Chang is returning to Netflix to show us even more delicious food. We’re talking about his gastronomic travel docuseries, ‘Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner.’
And Netflix gave us a trailer.
The James Beard Award-Winning Chef stars this four-part docuseries where he travels the world looking to discover new flavors. He’s joined in each episode by a different celebrity: Seth Rogen, Chrissy Teigen, Kate McKinnon, and Lena Waithe. In each episode, Chang and the designated celebrity explore a city’s culture and cuisine.
In the first episode, Chang visits Vancouver with Seth Rogen, where the actor and comedian gives the chef a drive around his favorite eating childhood spots.
In the second episode, Chrissy Teigen (who premiered her own food show a month ago in Netflix’s competitor, Hulu) travels with Chang to Marrakech, where she takes Chang to one of her favorites vacation spots. Next, in the third episode, Chang visits Waithe in LA, and they explore the deep subcultures and it’s cuisines in the city while discussing the highs and lows of their careers. Last but not least, Chang travels to Phnom Penh, Cambodia with Kate McKinnon, the SNL star, and they eat the best local food of Cambodia and get to know its culture deeper.
The show will premiere worldwide on Wednesday, October 23. Here’s the trailer so you can know what we’re talking about:
