Netflix unveiled the official trailer of their new show ‘Prank Encounter’. It is going to be a prank show hosted by ‘Stranger Things’ star Gaten Matarazzo.
Each episode shows new guests that will participate “on the surprise ride of a lifetime,” according to Netflix, while they enroll their own horror movie as Matarazzo pranks on them.
“Where fear meets funny, Prank Encounters is the most elaborate hidden camera prank show ever devised.” Netflix said in a press release, “It’s business as usual until their paths collide and their one-day assignments turn into supernatural surprises”.
This prank show was first announced in June with some people criticizing it due to its initial description, which says they would be pranking participants who came on board looking for jobs. But the streamer defended the show declaring that the participants “came in with the expectation this was a one-day, hourly gig and everyone got paid for their time.”
With hidden cameras around, each episode brings on new guests who believe they’ve been hired for a one-time gig — whether that’s babysitting, being a security guard, or an assistant. So everyone’s on alert.
“If I were you I probably wouldn’t trust anyone this Halloween season… especially me!!,” the teen Matarazzo tweeted Thursday.
“Are you ready to scream and laugh with me when #PrankEncounters hits @Netflix on October 25?”
The new series drops just in time for Halloween on Friday, Oct. 25 on Netflix.
