Calling all K-Drama fans out there (I know there are a ton of you), Netflix is about to release yet another one for you. Since late 2018 and early 2019, there have been speculations for The School Nurse Files coming to the streaming platform. Alas, finally, there has been confirmation that the first season of the K-Drama is coming––and it’s premiering as soon as you think. Here’s everything you need to know about the upcoming series!
The School Nurse Files is an upcoming Netflix Original supernatural K-Drama series written by Chung Se Rang alongside Lee Kyung Mi as the director. With those people spearheading, the K-Drama has all the right to be on the hype train of 2020.
Ordered in late 2018, the K-Drama was one of the first Netflix Original K-Dramas. Actually, everyone expected the series to come sooner, but we’re still thankful for a September 2020 release.
According to the press release from the streaming giant, there’s been confirmation that the first season of the series will arrive on the 25th of September 2020, a Friday.
Exclusively for Netflix, the series will be streaming worldwide, including its home of South Korea.
According to Netflix, the plot will be as follows:
“Ahn Eun Young is a nurse teacher but also serves as a jelly exorcist. Thanks to her supernatural ability to see jellies, she also has the ability to eradicate them. Only needing a toy knife and a BB gun, Ahn Eun Young is a lethal exorcist but to protect the school she enlists the help fellow teacher Hong In Pyo.“
There will be six episodes for the first season, each running for an hour. Not as many episodes as most K-Dramas, but we’ll see how it pans out as it boasts longer running time anyway.
As for the cast members, we’ll be seeing Jung Yoo Mi as Ahn Eun Young, Nam Joo Hyuk as Hong in Pyo, Lee Joo Young as Han Ah Rum, Kim Bum Joon as Kim Beom Jun, Park Se Jin as Raddy, Hyun Woo Seok as Seok Kwon, Choi Jun Young as Kim Kang Sun, and Yoo Teo as Mackenzie.
