Once you go on post-Christmas depression, there’s one good way to fight it: Netflix has announced the release date and a short teaser of its most famous serial killer, we’re talking about ‘You’ where former Gossip Girl star, Penn Badgley plays Joe, a psychopath.
In Season 1, Peach Salinger was his victim, now a new “romantic” interest appears: Love Quinn, portrayed by Victoria Pedretti. We’ll see how this new interest turns out on Thursday, December 26. We’ll see Joe moving to Los Angeles, and dealing with the issues -and bodies, he left behind in New Yor.k Pinn Badgley said about Season 2 that “there are some things I’ve done with prosthetic bodies in this season that were kind of nauseating as I did them, I will say that” so we know his murderous impulses may go even further in Season 2.

While it didn’t precisely receive critical acclaim, it was enjoyed by audiences well enough for Netflix to quickly greenlight a second season of the show produced by Greg Berlanti and Sera Gamble. The show is based on the book of the same name written by Caroline Kepnes. Season 2 will most likely follow the story of the book sequel.
About the show’s success, the streamer said in a press release the series “was on track to be viewed by more than 40 million members in its first four weeks.” The formula of creating a creepy thriller version of a Gossip Girl-styled show seemed to work. Let’s see if it continues to do so in Season 2.
