‘Outer Banks’ Season 2: Finally Renewed, Potential Plot, and Release Date

You have to admit, Outer Banks is probably one of Netflix’s greatest series this year. With so much drama, the series swept audiences on their feet. The fans have spoken, however, will there be a second season? Will our questions be answered? Well, Netflix has given you a resounding yes! Here’s everything you need to know about the upcoming season two.

The action-crime drama features Chase Stokes, Madelyn Cline, and Madison Bailey. Together with the series, they exploded on the streaming giant in April 2020 flaunting ten episodes of pure drama.

A couple of months later, Netflix finally announced the return on the hit series. A handful of speculations and theories were made about when the release is, but we’re just happy of the series renewal. Here’s Netflix’s tweet!

After a while, See What’s Next also took it to Twitter to release a short video with the cast expressing their joy and excitement towards the upcoming second season.

Co-creator, writer, and executive producer Josh Pate teased us a while back that, as the ending indicated, that the Bahamas will be the choice of location for the first few episodes of Season 2.

“There would be a couple episodes that take place, at least partially, in the Bahamas, it unfolds into a bigger mystery. We keep our old villains and we add some new ones. But it always comes back to the Outer Banks.”

However, let’s not jump into conclusions just yet. It’s a renewal, not a release date. As of the moment, we’re either looking late next year or further for Outer Banks’ season two release date.

Because of the series filming in South Carolina, there’s really not much to film and produce as restrictions haven’t been lifted because of the outbreak.

But hey, while all of us are waiting for the upcoming season, there’s been a lot of content uploaded to YouTube not just by Netflix, but also from fans who’ve been speculating and theorizing what’ll happen next.
