‘Ozark’ is finally renewed for its fourth and final season

Holy moly, it’s finally out! After rumors and a handful of news, it finally came from the source itself. Netflix has finally confirmed Ozark‘s fourth season––and unfortunately, also the last.

However, the streamer wants to take do it nice and slowly––giving us two halves of the season and a mind-blowing send-off from the series and Byrde family. Netflix has yet to give us a specific release date though, but we’ll be keeping track of any Ozark-related news for you guys.

Helmed by Bill Dubuque and Mark Williams, the series quickly caught the eyes of the Netflix population––making it one of the best Originals on the platform until today. I mean, if you give the viewers a brilliant cast, a like-minded crew, stunning cinematography, and a thrilling story––you’re in for the best spot on the platform.

As you may know, Netflix’s life changed in the summer of 2017 with the release of the series as it climbs its way to the top and cementing its legacy in the platform forever. Honestly, these things shouldn’t be a surprise. For the past couple of months, Ozark has been sitting on the top 10 lists––this move was a no-brainer for the streamer.

Jason Bateman, one of the main characters in the series, was asked whether the series would be giving us a couple of seasons before concluding the story and said:

“I kind of leave all those smart and complicated conversations up to those who can manage them. My fastball, if I’ve got one, is more on the set. So, I’ll leave it up to Chris and MRC and Netflix to figure out what the life of the show is and what shape it will take.”

As for Ozark‘s showrunner Chris Mundy, when he was asked about a then-potential fourth season:

“Well, if we’re lucky enough to get a season 4, I think it will be about whether or not Ruth really can create something of her own that she wants and is sustainable, or if she wants something else. And I think it will be about if the Byrdes can they turn the biggest mistake of their lives into this huge advantage, and how much will karma catch up with them if they do?”

Watch out for more news about the game-changing Ozark here! We’ll be lurking out for more details about it but until then, you can slumber in peace knowing that the series has already been officially renewed.
