Jim Gaffigan is back and this time he joins Amazon’s streaming platform to bring us his new show ‘The Pale Tourist.’ It will be a two-part comedy special.
The show was filmed in Ontario, Canada, and Barcelona, Spain. We will be able to see Gaffigan performing his best routines and some improvised jokes. Throughout the show, we also see the comedian experiencing the local cultures of the two cities he was in. Gaffigan takes advantage of these moments of recreation to think of new routines for his comedy shows.
“I am very happy that everyone has the opportunity to see ‘The Pale Tourist,'” the comedian wrote on his social networks. “It’s very ironic that the show focuses on doing international tourism when that’s virtually impossible.” (Clearly, the show was recorded before the global pandemic of COVID-19.)
With this show, Gaffigan adds another milestone to his career in the past few years. In a very short time, he has appeared in eight films, including his first starring role in a comedy (‘Being Frank’) and another leading role in a drama film (‘American Dreamer’). Gaffigan also appeared in ‘Troop Zero,’ ‘Light From Light’ and ‘Them That Follow.’ As if that weren’t enough, he was also listed by Forbes as one of the world’s top comedians. So ‘The Pale Tourist’ is probably just the beginning of many other comedy specials that will come as soon as I can travel and record again.
The Pale Tourist will hit Amazon Prime Video subscribers this July 24th, so save the date for a good laugh.
