Prime Video kicks off the week by renewing the ‘Hanna’ series for a third season

Amazon Studios ordered the third season of one of its most popular action series since the inception of its streaming platform. ‘Hanna’ is a series written and produced by David Farr (‘The Night Manager’).

The news of the renewal comes ten days after the premiere of the second season (July 3rd).

In a statement, David Farr (creator of the show) said he was very happy to tell fans that he will be able to give Hanna a third season. Farr said he knew from the beginning of the series that he would have to keep digging into Hanna’s past and eventually face the question of whether our protagonist will ever be able to be normal. “I’m really grateful to Amazon and NBCU that we can continue that vision… It will be an exciting third act.”

Another stakeholder who participated in the announcement was Vernon Sanders, Co-Head of Television at Amazon Studios. Sanders said in an interview that he was very excited to partner with NBC Universal to bring another season of ‘Hanna’ to subscribers of Amazon’s streaming platform.

‘Hanna’ is based on the 2011 film of the same name and follows an extraordinary young woman (Esme Creed-Miles) as she evades the relentless pursuit of a sinister government agency and tries to discover the truth behind who she is.

In the second season, Hanna must come out of hiding when her only friend, Clara, is captured by Utrax.

The series also stars Yasmin Monet Prince, Dermot Mulroney, Anthony Welsh, Aine Rose Daly, and Gianna Kiehl.
