The town of Riverdale is turned upside down after the death of one of the wealthiest and most popular Blossom twins. A group of teenagers, Archie Andrews, Betty Cooper, Cheryl Blossom, and Jughead decide to band together to help solve the mystery of Jason Blossom’s death, and they might be in over their head.
Riverdale follows the crazy path of lies, deception, and murder. Following the classic Archie comic, this show has turned into a fan favorite among The CW and Netflix.
What We Know So Far
Season four will start with the teenagers getting ready for their senior year and trying to survive the new villain that is out to get them. The fate of fan favorites is also unsure in Riverdale since we already saw the death of Ben and Dilton thanks to Gryphons and Gargoyles, so no one is truly safe.
Season three also introduced magic to the realm of Riverdale and is sure to play a big part in season 4. The Farm, the weird cult thing, is alive and thriving and Betty’ mom and sister have joined it, so we can expect to see more of that as well. We also have a lot of heartbroken fans since the split of Veronica and Archie.
We also see that the parents of Riverdale are shady, and their kids are not happy about it. There is tension between adults and teenagers in Riverdale which we all know will travel over to season four.
We also say Archie and Jughead are fleeing town, but not knowing where they went. This could open a door of possibilities when it comes to neighboring cities, like Greendale.
We might be saying goodbye to the beloved Josie only because the CW is planning a spinoff called Katy Keene for the character. If the spinoff is picked up, then Josie will be off to New York and most likely won’t make an appearance in season 4 of the show.
There is also the possibility of a crossover with the Netflix show the Chilling Adventures of Sabrina and with the show entered its second season, and Riverdale mentioned in the first season, we may see the witches entering Riverdale.
There are rumors that the writers will play with new couples since a lot of the main characters are no longer dating each other. We see Veronica and Reggie getting close lately, and with Jughead’s dad and Betty’s mom getting together, that relationship might also be doomed.
As for a premiere date, we don’t have one yet, but like most CW shows we can only assume it will premier in October 2019.
