HBO Max unveiled a trailer that shows that Dory Sief and her partners in crime are back for season 3 of ‘Search Party.’ In the preview, we can not only take a look at what we can expect from this new season but also shows the transition of the TBS show to HBO Max is ready.
Watch the trailer here:
The trailer starts right after the cliffhanger ending of season two. We see how Dory (Alia Shawkat) is arrested for murdering Keith (Ron Livingston), the investigator she hired in season one to help her find Chantal (Clare McNulty). A possible reason for Dory’s arrest may be that she threw her neighbor off a ferry when a blackmail attempt goes wrong (this also happens at the end of season two). However, we will have to look at the third season to find out what is the real reason why Dory ends up being arrested.
Dory’s arrest occurs at the same time that her ex, Drew (John Reynolds), and his friends Elliott (John Early) and Portia (Meredith Hagner) are being investigated for involvement in Dory’s case.
In the trailer, we also see how Elliott and Portia try to get new identities to hide and blend in like new people. It also shows Dory dealing with her new lousy reputation. Finally, we see the group of friends trying to find out who was the snitch that tipped off the police to make the arrest.
Luckily, we won’t have to wait long to see how the third season of ‘Search Party’ goes, as it’s set to premiere in just over a week. We’ll be able to watch it on June 25th on HBO Max.
