Stephanie Michelle Seymour is a prominent icon in the model scene of the United States. Also an actress, Seymour has partnered with various luxurious brands and companies. Besides that, she has also appeared in a handful of issues for magazines such as Vogue and Playboy. Throughout her career, one of the most notable opportunities she’s been given was to model for the acclaimed Victoria’s Secret like Karlie Kloss.
The next generation of beautiful women has looked up to her as an inspiration and a model, not the runway type, however. She once held 91st place on FHM’s list of 100 Sexiest Women of 2000 and a part of People’s 50 Most Beautiful People in the World list. Any model would aspire to share these accolades.
She wasn’t limited to just looks, though, as she was also given praise for her career in entertainment through the movie Pollock and drama series Law & Order: Criminal Intent.
Stephanie Michelle Seymour, born on the 23rd of July, 1968, in San Diego, California, was born as a middle child of a real estate-developer father and hairstylist mother. Seymour holds American citizenship and mixed ethnicity with English, French, German, Scottish, Welsh, Croatia, Slovenian, and Italian. Talk about worldwide beauty, eh?
Career and Net Worth:
She didn’t quite find her calling until the age of 16 when she worked for local newspapers and department stores. In 1983, she was a finalist for the Elite Model Management Look of the Year modeling contest and decided to pursue her craft in the field.
After that, she modeled for Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue and Vogue and never looked back. A couple of years later, from 1993 to 1999, Seymour became one of the lead models for Victoria’s Secret and posed for magazines like Playboy. You could say that this was the peak of her career––but it doesn’t stop there.
In 2006, she was involved in a campaign alongside her children for fashion brand Gap. At that time, she even modeled for Salvatore Ferragamo’s campaign for the fall and winter 2007 and 2008 collections. A decade later, Seymour co-founded the lingerie line named Raven & Sparrow––lingeries that featured vintage pieces like rompers, nightgowns, and robes.
In the entertainment business, Seymour’s first acting role was for the video game Hell: A Cyberpunk Thriller in 1994. Six years later, she appeared in Pollock and was soon followed by an episode for Law & Order: Criminal Intent.
Her net worth stands at $15 million throughout her fruitful modeling and acting career.
Seymour is currently married to film producer and art director Peter Brant. In January of 1993, the two were dating and two years later, the couple tied the knot on the 14th of July, 1995, in Paris. During their fruitful marriage, they welcome three beautiful children in Peter (1993), Harry Joseph (1996), and Lily Margaret (2004). However, in March of 2009, Seymour wanted a legal separation from Brant after 14 years of marriage. In 2010, the ex-couple got back together.
Before her relationship with Brant, she was reported to have dated the lead vocalist of Guns N’ Roses Axl Rose. In fact, she appeared in two music recordings namely 1991’s Don’t Cry and 1992’s November Rain. The ex-couple was supposed to be engaged in February of 1993 but separated the next month.
As people ought to know, Seymour is one of the most beautiful women in the world during her time. Having modeled for Victoria’s Secret, posed for Vogue and Playboy, you could say that Seymour would have also done well alongside today’s generation of models and magazines. With such cunning beauty, it’s no surprise that she’s had altercations and issues regarding relationships––but it all gladly worked out in the end as she now enjoys her life with her children.
Only recently, however, her son, Harry, died of an overdose on the 19th of January, 2021 to which she said in a joint statement with her husband:
“It is with enormous sorrow that we share with you the news that our beloved son, Harry Brant, lost his battle with addiction and died due to an accidental overdose of prescription medication,” Our hearts are shattered. Harry wanted to overcome his addiction and was just days away from re-entering rehab.“
