Millie Bobby Brown has been the major revelation of Netflix’s hit, ‘Stranger Things’, receiving two Emmy nominations at the tender age of 15. She also made her feature film debut with the latest ‘Godzilla’ film, ‘King of the Monsters’. Now, her rise to stardom continues: she’ll produce “A Time Lost“, an original Netflix drama based on a story written by Brown and her sister Paige Brown.
She’ll produce the film through PCMA Productions. Her sister and Robert Brown are the executive producers.
There’s still no cast on the film, but Anna Klassen has been tabbed to write a screenplay based on the Browns’ story.
The movie follows the story of the long-time feud between two Long Island families than comes to a head when one of their daughters is diagnosed with cancer.
“We are so grateful to Netflix for their confidence in us and this beautiful story, which we have spent years writing and developing,” said Millie Bobby Brown and Paige Brown in a public statement announcing the deal. “It’s about friendship, family and overcoming obstacles when it feels like the world is pushing you down. It’s been a labor of love, literally.”
Lisa Nishimura, VP of independent film and documentary features for Netflix, said, “Millie is an extraordinary creative talent. We’ve been lucky to have her in our family from the beginning of her career. It is a genuine thrill to witness Millie bring her distinct vision to the screen, now as a writer and producer, alongside her sister on this wonderful film.”
