The Halloween season is coming, and you know what that means. More horror titles are coming to Netflix, of course! Year after year, the streaming giant has both graced and spoiled us with horror movies and series––all leading up to the month of October. Only recently, they’ve added to their rich collection the Italian horror titled The Binding. Here’s everything you need to know about the upcoming film, with its plot, cast trailer, and your most-awaited release date!
The Binding, or Il legame in the Italian part of the world, is an upcoming Netflix Original from, well, Italy. It boasts of a paranormal-horror genre and is directed by Domenico Emanuele de Feudis. Alongside the director, of course, is their production team where, in this case, is Apulia Film Commission.
As we’ve known, Italian horrors were booming back in the 20th century with the likes of Deep Red, A Bay of Blood, and Torso. Throughout the same century, more of the zombie apocalypse types of movies were practiced––especially following the great George A. Romero’s Dawn of the Dead.
Back to The Binding, it has already been confirmed that the upcoming film will be available to stream as early as the 2nd of October, 2020. So, if you want the early spooks and chills, this might be the move to make. It will also have a run time of 1 hour and 33 minutes.
As for the cast, not many has been confirmed to star in the film except for John Wick 2‘s Riccardo Scamarcio, Federica Rosellini, and Sebastiano Filocamo as Don Gino. The filming of the movie took place in Bari, Apulia––south of Italy––and they started to film last year, particularly the 2nd of September to the 6th of October, 2019.
If you want the scare served early, then this might be the film for you to watch. Here’s the trailer!
