Official @haunting Twitter page of ‘The Haunting of Bly Manor’ posts sneak-peeks into what’s coming

Undoubtedly, The Haunting Of Hill House came out of 2018 as one of Netflix’s biggest hits for the streaming service. As expected, the audiences and followers of the show will be howling at you for more seasons of the series––and so Netflix followed it up with The Haunting Of Bly Manor.

Hill House showrunner Mike Flanagan has also taken under his wing the development of Bly Manor. However, don’t expect that the second installment will be following the story of the first––but do expect that it will be as equally scary. Some of the original cast members will also be returning, just with new roles.

On Monday, the streaming giant released the first look into The Haunting of Bly Manor––releasing what looks to be an album of images from the upcoming anthology drama.

The series is based on Henry James’ classic 1898 novella titled The Turn of The Screw. Basically, it tells the story of a governess who was hired to take care of two orphaned children in a country house. Eventually, she starts to notice a couple who cannot be seen by anyone else.

According to Flanagan, the second season will be even scarier than that of the first. So if you were creeped out for the first one, make sure to hang tight for this one.

Don’t fret, however, as here are the returning actors from the first season if you miss them that much: Victoria Pedretti, Oliver Jackson-Cohen, Henry Thomas, and Kate Siegel. Pedretti, in this case, will be starring as the governess for the siblings living at Bly Manor while Henry Thomas will be playing the children’s uncle.

At its foundation, the Haunting series is very much about haunted spaces and haunted people,” Flanagan told Vanity Fair.

The way we make those things dance together is really going to be what’s uniform about Hill House and Bly. Outside of that though, it was really important for all of us not to play the same notes we played for the first season,” he continued.
