2020 has been hard for all of us. For some of you, however, we know you’ve been catching up on all the latest and greatest of Netflix. Not to worry, though, as we have some more good news coming along your way.
Respectably, even after a delay in filming because of the worldwide pandemic, Ryan Murphy’s Netflix adaptation of The Prom is still coming to its audiences all around the world, and there’s finally a final date to expect.
For starters, The Prom is an upcoming Netflix Original musical that’s based on the gigantic success that is Broadway’s production of the same name. With Ryan Murphy, Glee and American Horror Story‘s creator, at the helm of it all, we’re expecting only great things considering that there’s more to come from the creator to the streaming giant.
Thankfully, Ryan Murphy is no stranger to the genre because of his work with Glee. To add to that, he’s also worked on the biggest of the biggest in today’s genre of films and series with the likes of The Politician, Hollywood, and The Boys in the Band.
In a tweet, Ryan Murphy, himself, announced the news that The Prob will be coming to the streaming giant on the 11th of December, 2020. What a fantastic way to round out the year that caused us all the troubles.

According to Netflix, the plot of the Original musical will be as follows:
“After two lesbian students are rejected from their high school prom in a small conservative Indiana Town, the press gets wind of the story. The story attracts the attention of some of Broadway’s biggest stars, and they are more than ready to help the young couple make a change in the name of love.“
This will surely be one for the books. Ryan Murphy, musicals, and Netflix Originals just sound so great together.
