The Danish Netflix Original is created by Jannik Tai Mosholt, Esben Toft Jacobsen, and Christian Potalivo. Being one of the many post-apocalyptic series out there, The Rain served its purpose and gave glory to the Danish entertainment industry––impressing their audience from the very first season. With Jesper Tøffner and Rasmus Heise helming the cinematography, the filming took place across the beautiful lands of Denmark and Sweden.
The Rain is about a virus that kills most of the world’s population. To make themselves safe from the virus carried by the rain, Danish siblings Simone and Rasmus hid in a bunker for 6 whole years. Hoping to see their father, a scientist, again, they emerged from the bunker and searched all over Denmark and Sweden before joining another group of survivors. Will the find their who might just have the cure to the virus? Well, you might just have to watch the first two seasons and wait for the third.
The third and final season of The Rain will be coming to the streaming giant on the 6th of August, 2020.
The second season boasted us with a beautiful six episodes, and the third and final one will be giving us a whopping 10 to conclude and answer our questions. All the episodes will be having a 45-minute runtime––just enough for you to finish about 3 bags of chips. Kidding!
Either way, the ending will totally be a surprise and we’re all for it!
