The Umbrella Academy is back and better for its Season 2 release

The ending of The Umbrella Academy has made their very loyal fans curious––asking questions and making theories, as all good fandoms would do, right?

Alas, The Umbrella Academy is back with the streaming platform! Their first (or only?) batch of teasers for the upcoming series told us so, and it is just the batch fans needed to relive the hype of the series’ first season.

The last time we saw the family of the Hargreaves was when the bunch was in a serious dilemma––with Number Five stopping his sister Seven from causing the apocalypse to taking his remaining five alive siblings to an unknown location.

If the teaser could talk, it could’ve said that they were alive and okay––because they are damn well alive and okay, to say the least. It confirms that all seven members of the family have––spoiler alert––survived! Hoorah! As each of their eyes stare into your soul, you may rest that that isn’t the last time you’ll see those magical eyes. That’s only if you’re not already possessing a headache after watching them change colors, but it’s alright. Here they are, if you missed it.

The most thrilling of the teasers-slash-posters is the one above. As you may notice, it’s the number 2 that’s been edited to have an umbrella for a head. “When are they,” the teaser asks. If you’ve already read the comic books, major spoiler alert for series watchers, then you may assume that they’re in Dallas, Texas of the year 1963 where no mansion exists and it goes further than the history of the JFK assassination.

There are new members of the team, also. Lila, played by Ritu Arya, is described as the ‘chameleon who can be as brilliant or as clinically insane as the situation requires’. Alongside Arya will be Yusuf Gatewood, who will be playing Raymond, ‘a born leader with the smarts, gravitas, and the confidence to never have to prove it to anyone’ and has the ability to ‘disarm you with a look’.

Exciting times ahead for The Umbrella Academy fans, I hope!
