Trinkets is a teen-drama Netflix Original series from Amy Andelson, Emily Meyer, and Kirsten Smith. If you have anyone to thank for the show, it’s them. Starring in the show are Deadpool‘s own Brianna Hildebrand, Kiana Madeira, and the new kid on the block, Quintessa Swindell. Sherwin Shilati, alongside a handful more of directors, split directing duties. Shilati’s not new to the platform as she’s already directed one of the most popular teen-dramas in the block, Riverdale.
The premise of the show revolves around Elodie who was caught shoplifting. After being caught, she was sent to Shoplifters Anonymous to help control her obsession with stealing. In the support group, she met two other girls to whom had a mutual love for shoplifting––eventually turning into a trio. As the trio challenges themselves to see who has the ability to steal the most, Elodie and her obsession form a deeper obsession––risking her trinkets.
For the audience of the show, Trinkets was on the fence. Others loved it, others didn’t––but so does every other series in the platform, right? And compared to other teen-dramas in the streaming giant, Trinkets has been one of the most solid ones.
And with our latest August line-up release, we’ve come to confirm that the second and, unfortunately, the final season of the series will be coming to Netflix on the 25th of August, 2020.
