After giving us a sneak peek, almost a month ago, HBO has revealed its official trailer of the upcoming Ralph Lauren’s life documentary, ‘Very Ralph’. The trailer gives us a closer view of the life of one of America’s greatest designers.
The documentary is set to release on Tuesday, November 12. The first documentary gave us a one-minute insight of Lauren’s life featuring Vogue’s editor in chief, Anna Wintour; Tyson Beckford, and his longtime wife, Ricky Lauren. The list of interviewees is completed with Karl Lagerfeld, André Leon Talley, Hillary Clinton, Jason Wu, Naomi Campbell, Martha Stewart, Calvin Klein, Tina Brown, Diane von Furstenberg and Jessica Chastain. It also shows some old Ralph Lauren’s clips of the brand’s beginnings and some behind the scenes of his team prepping for the 50th Anniversary show of Ralph Lauren.
The feature film will give us unseen insight into Ralph Lauren’s life and his process of building a billion-dollar global business. He speaks deeply and honestly about his childhood, his beginnings, his response to criticism, and his 50-year marriage.
The documentary is produced and directed by renowned, award-winning documentarian Susan Lacy, who has already produced and directed HBO documentaries’ such as ‘Jane Fonda in Five Acts,’ and ‘Spielberg.’ She’s won 14 Primetime Emmy Awards, including her work in documentaries such as ‘American Masters’.
