‘Westworld’ Season 3 Will Have Less Episodes Compared to Previous Seasons

Earlier this year, HBO confirmed the third season of its hit sci-fi show ‘Westworld’. Now, we know that the season will be a tad shorter than the first two: it will only consist of eight episodes. Nonetheless, we don’t know anything about the runtime of the episodes, which means that the producers may opt with a model of fewer episodes with longer durations, like ‘Game of Thrones’ final season.

Also, HBO said they have a deal with co-creators Jonathan Nolan and Lisa Joy for potential fourth and fifth seasons even as the showrunners have an overall creative deal with Amazon Studios.

The show led by Evan Rachel Wood and Jeffrey Wright is set to be released somewhere in the first half of 2020. We still don’t know if we’ll see some familiar faces such as Anthony Hopkins’, Dr. Robert Ford back in the third season. So far, the only characters confirmed are the ones we saw in the trailer: Dolores, portrayed by Wood, Bernard (Wood), Maeve, played by Thandie Newton, The Man in Black (Ed Harris), and the person inside Charlotte Hale’s body, who’ll be played by Tessa Thompson again and, of course, Caleb, the new character portrayed by Aaron Paul, who we’ll soon also see again in ‘El Camino: A Breaking Bad Story‘.

There’s still a ton of mystery surrounding ‘Westworld’ Season 3. HBO is taking it seriously because they know it is one of the shows that have to step up after its gold mine, ‘Game of Thrones’, ended. We’ll probably know at least some more about Westworld Season 3 in the last months of the year.
