‘Wonder Woman 2: 1984’: Release date and the first official trailer

On Sunday, Wonder Woman fans finally got their first look at Wonder Woman 1984. The trailer debuted at Brazil’s Comic-Con and showcases Wonder Woman’s, played by Gal Gadot, interactions with Dr. Barbara Minerva and her reunion with Steve Trevor.

In the trailer you can here a conversation between Wonder Woman and Dr. Barbara Minerva saying:

“My life hasn’t been what you probably think it has. We all have our struggles,” Diana says.

The pair continue to talk about love and if either has ever been in love. The trailer centers around Diana’s reunion with Steve. Also in the trailer we get a glimpse of Maxwell Lord and the shady business he seems to be conducting. Of course there is also a lot of action with Wonder Woman waving her lasso around and some very cool 80’s flashbacks.

Wonder Woman 1984 will have a time jump into several decades after the first film. This will catch Diana up to a drastically different setting from the World War I one she was in during the first film.

In July, Gadot talked to fans at Comic-Con and said:

“The bar is very, very high, but our aspirations are even higher. We just give it everything that we have, really hoping that what we bring, you guys will love.”

Wonder Woman 1984 will hit theaters on June 5. You can see the first trailer here:
