Zosia Mamet joins Kaley Cuoco in HBO Max’s ‘The Flight Attendant’

‘The Flight Attendant’ was one of the first original shows announced by HBO Max when the streaming service was announced. It was said to be a dark comedy thriller where a flight attendant wakes up in a hotel she doesn’t know; in a bed she doesn’t know, and besides a dead man she doesn’t know. Cassie, the flight attendant will be played by Kaley Cuoco (who also serves as executive producer), which is her first major role after the end of ‘The Big Bang Theory.’
The eight-episode show is based on the New York Times bestseller by Chris Bohjalian, that’s been adapted for TV by Steve Yockey. The show is produced by Yes, Norman owned by Kaley Cuoco, and Berlanti Productions.

Now we have a new addition to the cast: Zosia Mamet, who’ll play Annie, Cassie’s best friend, a “born and raised New Yorker and brass tacks lawyer, who gets in over her head pulling strings to help her best friend.” Mamet is best known for her role at the Golden Globe-winning show, ‘Girls,’ where she played Shoshanna Shapiro. She’s no stranger to streaming service’s shows as she´ll play Louisa May Alcott, the antagonist of Hailee Steinfeld’s Emily Dickinson in ‘Dickinson,’ for Apple TV+. Also, she has been recently seen in Netflix’s ‘Armistead Maupin’s Tales of the City’ alongside Ellen Page.

The cast also includes names as Michiel Huisman, set to play Alex; Sonoya Mizuno who’ll portray Miranda; Colin Woodell as Buckley, and Rosie Perez playing Megan.

Alongside Kaley Cuoco, Greg Berlanti, Sarah Schechter, Susanna Fogel, Steve Yockey, Meredith Lavender, Suzanne McCormack, and Marcie Ulin executive produce. Fogel directs the first two episodes.
